When I look around and see the multitudes of people drawn to pitch in and help on the effort to elect a President we feel will help us bring about a much needed; hence wanted change.
This mass movement of people is being called many things, "Euphoria", "Madness", "Obama phenomenon", etc., I think it is obvious to all of us what's happening, we see it around us everyday, enthusiasm, people sending emails, calling friends and family, talking to them about Obama, sending money, blogging, creating videos in support, large crowds at his rallies, et al.
Why is it happening? What does it mean?
WE FEEL IT! It is a current of dynamic energy, it is contagious, it permeates through the most recondite ideals and long held democratic principles kept deep inside our inner sanctum where so many of us had retreated, some for a long time, Obama is talking to me, he is talking to us, telling us that a positive change is possible, but that it is up to us, that we are the ones who will make it happen, that's why it is happening, and it can be felt by those of us willing to open up and entertain a realistic dream about what possibilities may lay in our future, if we so desire and work for it
What does it mean? An opportunity, a window in time and place where we can visualize what could be, what should be and what will be - if we make it happen that is, it is up to us. That is what it means, nothing more, nothing less.
